広島平和記念公園は、日本の広島の中心部にある記念公園です。第二次世界大戦末期に世界で初めて核攻撃を受けた広島の遺産と、原爆の直接・間接的犠牲者の記憶に捧げられています。広島市では、毎年8月6日の「原爆の日」に、原爆犠牲者を慰霊し、世界の恒久平和の実現を祈念して「広島平和記念式典」を開催しています。式典は、朝の8時から原爆慰霊碑の前で、遺族をはじめ多くの市民が参列して行われます。式典では、原爆の炸裂時刻である午前8時15分に犠牲者を悼む1分間の黙祷が捧げられます。

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a memorial park in the center of Hiroshima, Japan. It is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack at the end of World War II, and to the memories of the bomb’s direct and indirect victims. 

Every year on August 6, “A-Bomb Day,” the City of Hiroshima holds the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony to console the victims of the atomic bombs and to pray for the realization of lasting world peace. The ceremony is held in the morning from 8:00 AM, in front of the Memorial Cenotaph with many citizens including the families of the deceased. During the ceremony, a one-minute silence to honor the victims is observed at 8:15 AM, the time of the atomic bomb’s explosion.
