Harvey Thompson ハービー・トンプソンは、アメリカミシガン州デトロイト出身。 “The Keeper of The Flame“と言われ、国内外でのコンサート・ジャズフェスティバル・音楽イベント、その他企業パーティー等での音楽活動をしています（ Jazz , Gospel など ）。
幼い頃からゴスペルを歌い始めました。レイ・チャールズ オーケストラのリードトランペッターのマーカス・ベレグレイブの勧めでジャズの世界に入る事になりました。1995年NBC４チャンネルの主催番組”スーパーシンガー”にて優勝し、スーパーシンガーの座を獲得しました。
2004年に大阪のアメリカ領事官 故アレキサンダー・アルモゾブ氏により、 アメリカのジャズボーカル親善大使の名誉ある称号に任命された経歴があります。

スイスで行われたMontreux Jazz Festival に参加し、ロンミルナー製作の“クラックステッピング”のレビューでは、熱狂的な評を得て WEMU ラジオ ベストボーカリストに選ばれました。GLASGOW JAZZ FESTIVAL (1998~1999 GLASGOW JAZZ FESTIVAL) に参加。 ジャズピアニスト/ シンガーのジョー ・トンプソンとのユニット” Detroit, Jazz Jewels ” がエミー賞にノミネート。またかつて、MOTOR CITY MUSIC 誌では” デトロイトの音楽業界の発展に貢献した 300 人“の中に選ばれ その活躍が評価されました。
ファーストアルバム ” JAZZ IS ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE ” でヴォーカリストとしての 名声を確立させ、プロデュースの才能も発揮、編曲の精巧さ, 粋な呼吸のレパートリー “ハービー ・トンプソンはリーダーとして並ならない音楽的完成度に達した。” とシカゴ トリビューン誌に評され、ジャズの偉大さ、その名声を不動のものにしました。
2015年11月29日にタイ王国ハジャイ大学にて、ハジャイフィルハーモニーオーケストラと共演。マハー・チャクリ・シリントーン王女の特別コンサートに出演しました。モットーは「音楽と平和のコラボレーションを世界に広げる事」音楽は人類の共通語です。国境、人種、言語、宗教を越えて、人類が１つになれると信じています。日本では、世界の子供にワクチンを与える為のチャリティーコンサート、福島を含む被災地、東南アジアでの災害被害地などでのチャリティコンサート、障害を持つ方々が持つヘルプマークの認知度を広げるためのコンサート（ヘルプマーク・ミュージックエイド）などを続けています。

Born in Detroit, an American. Gospel jazz singer.
Harvey Thompson won the title of Super Singer in 1995 as a 4-channel super singer sponsored by NBC, and was appointed as the prestigious title of American Jazz Vocal Goodwill Ambassador by US Consul Alexander Almasov in Osaka in 2004.
Co-starring with jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson, trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, trombone player Curtis Filler and drummer Roy Haynes, and extraordinary saxophonist James Carter, Benny Green Trio and Madrid.
“Tavern On The Green” in New York with the fabulous pianist and singer Jo Thompson. Also performed with the great pianist Dorothy Donagan.
Harvey has also performed the American National Anthem at Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers baseball team.
And he performed at a special concert for Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Hatyai University in Thailand in 2015,
So far, Harvey has conveyed the wonderfulness of jazz, gospel and music both in Japan and abroad.
His motto is “To spread the collaboration of music and peace to the world.”
Music is a common language of humankind. We believe that humanity can become one, regardless of national borders, races, languages, or religions. In Japan, we have continued to provide support at charity concerts to give vaccines to children around the world, as well as charity concerts in various places including Fukushima and disaster-stricken areas in Southeast Asia.
In addition, as a new goal, we plan to continue to spread peace activities through music . We hope music can contribute to world peace as much as possible.
